GPS Tracking

PACT is actively partnering with its members to protect their assets and reduce crime. Through advanced tracking technology, devices are deployed across member sites ensuring they have access to the latest in security solutions.

After a GPS device was installed in a hot water system on a building site on Nollamara Ave, Nollamara, PACT investigators were alerted to theft of the asset at 1.03pm on Sunday 19/3/23.

The hot water unit was tracked to an address in Balga after which PACT investigators liaised with Mirrabooka Police - WA Police Force. Police execute a search warrant at the address and located the stolen hot water system in the boot of a wrecked car in the garage of the premises.

The hot water system was seized and the likely offender, who was not present at the time, will be arrested at a later date.

The property was seized and will be returned to our member.

In our mission to reduce crime, GPS tracking technology has become a reliable ally. Despite this however, many building industry members remain neglectful when it comes to reporting onsite crimes - an unfortunate issue that continues to allow the vast majority of onsite crime to go unchecked .
